Dramatically playful, detail oriented, wholesome with slight sexiness, colorful and sweet. The Fifties was fundamentally a time of conformity, you won’t find anything wild or risqué on these pages. Think of it as good, clean, wholesome stuff. Instead of lingerie think night shirts, instead of mini skirts, think at the knee length skirts, instead of shorts think trousers and you’ll get the idea.

What have you wanted to be when you were just that innocent cute little girl? You would probably say a Doctor, an Engineer, a Chef, a Writer…I could go on and on with all those highly respected profession.
A Pre-school Teacher. Which what I am dressing as in this post.
That’s what I have dreamed of becoming to be when I was young. I for one have envisioned myself, spending days singing nursery rhymes with naughty yet cute kids. and if I have one strong weakness, those are smart and adorable kids! Their smiles and laughs are just so precious I cant’ help but follow what they want! Also, the main reason why I spoil my little cousins.
Why am I sharing this?
Only because I’d like to dedicate this post to the seniors ( I am! Actually, seven years ago!? haha!) If you’re one, I want you to know that choosing your college major is really important, it’s going to be tough and confusing but it’s vital that you consider not only what your parents want but what you have always wanted…What YOU dreamed of and whatever it is that you’ll become four or five years from now… with all those swings and strides,One thing I know for sure..You can dress the part well! :)
P.PS
I took these photos on a late afternoon, less light, more contrast. Thanks for my tripod for making it possible.I like that they turned out to be vintage-y. What do you think? ;)
Much Love,
Nikki

Hi everyone! I know it has been a sad Monday for all of us, considering what happened to Visayas. I am watching the news right now as I type on a post on this blog. Heard Mandaue and Negros Occidental are mostly affected, there were some casualties and fourty people are still missing, most of them…children :( My heart goes out to all the victims and the families that has been greatly affected by that “unexpected quake” We should all pray the hardest! Tonight, let’s pray not only for our family but for others and for our country who intensely need our prayers!

Anyhow, I hope this little post can somehow divert your attention. That said, I am posting about an afternoon of pampering that I had at Nail It Salon. I was given an invite to try out their services, it was actually my first time there and I will definitely go back for more… I was satisfied like that! ;)

I had their first package that includes a traditional Mani&Pedi with Polish and Nail It traditional foot spa :)

I brought with me my pumper buddy. Zen Tea’s Milk Tea!

They have varieties of polishes that you can also try on before having your nails done. I like how they’re staffs are really kind and suggestive about the polishes.

I settled on this pair of Orly’s Blue Ocean Breeze of my finger nails and Nude for my toe nails. Good choice?

Here’s my fave part. I call it “feet oven” but the ate’s there call it “polish dryer” lol!

Of course I made sure their tools were sterilized before they use it on me, well in this salon, I did not need to remind that.

Another favorite part. Their Orly’s they have tons of it unlike any other well known salons. They also have the latest ones and no additional rate for that! Rip Off!

You can choose from the packages they offer on a reasonable price!

They also give out privilege cards to their valued customers, coolio!

Thank you Nail It! Til our next pampering sesh!
Xx,
Nikki

Bonsoir! I’m back to keep my promise! Remember my post when I mentioned about something I did last weekend? Here’s exactly what I said :
Last weekend, I did something out of the box, something I missed and I haven’t done for years now…Thoughts? I’ll share what it is on my next post, That’s a promise!
and to unwrap it, here’s a photo (tadaaaa)

I went to school! Yeah baby, I’m back to being a student! (How happy do I sound here? hahaha) Currently, I am enrolled at SOFA under a fashion journalism course. FASHION and JOURNALISM two extremely influential words in one course?! Now that’s something!
TO seg a little way. Truths be told, I was deeply influenced or better to utt encouraged by my blogger sis Marj ( Hi sis! See you on Saturday!) One aftei I received a BBM from her asking if I am interested to study Fashion Journalism. Just hearing those words together in one sentence is like Lenka’s song playing to my ears. Of course I said YES! I just haffta include BUT there because I need to consider my summer schedule and need to weigh things out considering my five days a week job. So when she told me it’s a weekend class, I told myself “This must be the fashion gods giving me an invitation to Olympus” (loling)
But seriously the question I had fro myself was not “why will I take the course?” but more of “why not?” I mean its not like everyday that I’ll get the chance to have Ms. Lacar Perlas (Mega Magazine’s Managing Editor) as my instructor and besides SOFA is the first to offer this kind’f course. There was really zero reason to miss this opportunity. I’ve studied styling courses before but this one, I consider, the prime! :)
Just to share with you guys, our task for this term is to come up with our own Magazine. Ms. Lacar divided the class into two and guess what just gotten into my list of roles to play? I was tasked to take the Fashion Editorial Part. Crossing my fingers and toes as early as now and praying to all the fashion gods out there to grant me more powers! (may the force be with me haha) Wish me luck guys! Will keep you guys posted about this ;)
Any how, here I go again, word vomiting and boring you guys with another nobela post. I’m sorry, I can’t help but make chika! haha! time check! It’s 8:30 pm and my Hangry ( Hungry and Angry) Tummy is growling like a tiger, will grab something to eat for dinner! So bye for now! Let’s eat!
Happy Dinner! Toodles!
P.S
Before I forgot the outfit. That’s what I wore during our class orientation. I reunited with print on print. Made a trick by using my romper as a top and added a touch of Lace! How was it? Oh..and thanks to Gelo for my fab foxtail. Got it from his booth last BU! Thanks Girl! Much Love! XX
Nikki

Hello Everybody! How was everyone’s weekend? Hope you all had a wonderful one! Don’t ask how mine was because it’s too awesome for words. (lol-ing) Last weekend I did something out of the box, something I missed doing and that I haven’t done for years now… Thoughts?
I’ll share what it is on my next next post and that’s a promise! For now, bear with my outfit post. I wore this today and it’s actually my Monday work drobe. Yes! I usually look like this at work. I’m the comfort-in-style kind of an office girl, I got extra lucky since my company doesn’t have a dress code. Wouldn’t actually apply to one if it has.
This outfit plan started with my sheep leopard short, it’s an overused one! We all know that animal prints like leopard and zebra have been the biggest trend of 2011. So I invested on more of them and today I just felt like I miss wearing them already, certainly it’s one trend I will always go back to.and oh btw, my title might sound like I had a bad start of a week. It has nothing to do with emotions actually. It’s more of the different shades of blue that I wore. Putting them together in one outfit always work with the help of a print and a splice of red of course. What do you think? Try it too! :)
Have a fab week ahead!
Love,
Nikki

Hi everyone! First and foremost let me say “excuse my randomness” for tonight you will meet nikkiwillrandom you! (laughs)
Okay so here am I posting something far from my typical post to meet my weekly goal. It happened that this week, my goal is to be randomly spontaneous, and if you are one of my few but well loved twitter followers, you’d prolly remember me tweeting about this goal.So on that note, I’m posting pictures related to/ Tattoos. Mind you guys that this post, despite of being random, is one of the most special post for me since and only because I am posting the tattoos of people that are close to my heart. Sorry for being cheesy there! ;)
Featuring our beyond cool tattoo artist, Ivan and tattoos of Pao, Krung, Mou and Miguel - (Hi guys! just so you know I stole your tattoo pics! How do you like to see them here? lols! Love y’all)
and because this post is getting really long and I could get any more random..here’s my favorite quote from Pam who is well known for her tatts.
Tattoos are like stories - they’re symbolic of the important moments in your life. Sitting down, talking about where you got each tattoo and what it symbolizes, is really beautiful. ——Pamela Anderson
The quote I live by and always read before having myself tattooed. Tattooed? Oh yeah! I also have tattoos! I actually have two and sharing one above. Guess which one is mine? :)
Xx,
Nikki
