Fashion has a very colorful history we can always refer to, as they say. What’s regale about it is that it enables us to go back to years when we were not even born yet, simply by giving an outfit a touch of vintage.  In doing so, whether we’re channeling the 6O’s Retro or the 8O’s Hippie, we should cut across the timeline and give it a sense of this centuries update or a pinch of our own style, at least.

A plum gold chain detailed kimono, a soft white laced shorts, attention grabbing baroque like specs, leatherette belt,velvet-ed shoes and top. Mixed with fair amount of accessories -This is me referring to fashion history, kind of and somehow giving my fair share of vintage dressing with a 21st century twist.

I wore this to Funky Plum Vintage’s event last Saturday (more about that in my upcoming posts) and I just realized that I actually dressed like the name of the store,itself. What do you think about this look?

Are you someone who appreciate food in a higher perspective? Well, I have a great news for you fellow food lover! 

 Skyisthelimit production presents Food Chronicles, a series of food challenges that caters to the food junkies and the people behind the food. If you’re thinking that this just a typical food bazaar, you better think twice and read more.

 There will be cooking competition wherein students from different culinary schools will compete to have the grand title of the Kitchen Rumble Champion.

There will be cooking competition wherein students from different culinary schools will compete to have the grand title of the Kitchen Rumble Champion. The challenge is to find a new way of cooking of home cooked dishes and discovering a fresh new palette for the Filipino Taste. The next competition would be an eating challenge. The eating competition is open for everyone, It will last for only forty minutes leaving the contestants a challenge to finish variety of food that Mercato is well known for.

On to the most important part, this event will benefit Make a Wish Foundation which seeks to help poor children with medical condition. 

How does that sound for you? You’ll get to eat, watch a cooking competition, join an eating contest and become an advocate for children by just attending this event!

When: March 28, 2012, from 9pm onwards (tomorrow)

and as much as I am close to despise how sultry (note 34°C here) it is in Manila lately, I couldn’t help but dress more often. I don’t know if it has really something to do with my more feminine sense of clothing, but I noticed that I have more clothes for hot days than for cold ones. It’s a closet domination.

Got me? If you did, well maybe you’re just like me who let summer clothes take over her closet, don’t worry coz that’s a good thing, I guess! (hihi) Is it? So we gotta do what we gotta do, let’s take those clothes out and wear ‘em! :)
